I've always used mineral oil on my wooden kitchen implements including cutting boards. When that happens, just don't get blood on the handle... I guess it is OK to use like paraffin on top of jelly.
The sharp blades go right through the food as intended by the cutter. I once bought a pick-up load of small boxes, and it included a special grease for the moving parts, or gearboxes.
Could you clarify please? I'm with Tracy. The handles came out much improved.
